Habitat Day of Prayer
Members of a Covenant Church commit to prayer, volunteer service, and financial support for Brunswick County Habitat for Humanity. Each congregation decides its level of involvement based on members’ gifts and interests.
Covenant Churches are asked to keep Habitat’s ministry in prayer and observe the International Day of Prayer and Action on the 3rd Sunday in September. They are also encouraged to support Brunswick County Habitat’s mission by:
- Spreading the word about Habitat’s work.
- Organizing volunteer work crews for local builds.
- Encouraging members to serve on local committees.
- Attending annual Faith Community events such as the Faith Community Breakfast, Prayer Service, and Partner Family Celebrations.
Through prayer, service, and partnership, Covenant Churches help build homes, hope, and transformed lives.
Volunteering
Volunteering is a meaningful and exciting way to support Brunswick County Habitat for Humanity! There are many ways you can get involved and make a impact:
- Provide lunch/refreshments for construction volunteers and staff
- Volunteer for construction to help build homes
- Group Build with friends, family, or your congregation
- Share your musical talent at a Wall Blessing or Home Dedication Celebrations
- Host benefit at your church to support our mission
- Join a Landscape Day to beautify the yard of a future home.
- Join our Faith Relations Committee to help forward our mission in the Faith Community.
